App Analytics

App analytics involves tracking key performance indicators such as downloads, revenue, in-app purchases, featuring, ASO reports, app visibility in search results, and keyword ranking.

App Install Analytics

Tracking app installs is a critical metric for evaluating ASO performance and is one of the key KPIs for overall app success.

The Downloads tool in ASOMobile helps you monitor the downloads and revenue of any app, allowing you to shape your strategy and achieve financial success in your niche.

Downloads Section Features and Data

  • App and Period Selection: In the "Apps" section, choose the app and time period you want to analyze.
  • Summary Information: A quick summary for the current month and the last three months is displayed in the top-right corner.
  • Charts and Tables: See data for the last month or week presented in both chart and table formats. The chart shows data by country, which you can select in the table below.
  • Country Breakdown: The table provides details for selected countries, including installs for the chosen period, percentage of total downloads, and a mini trend chart.

This tool is convenient for evaluating not just the geographical distribution of your app’s installs, but also for comparing your app with competitors, giving you a more comprehensive view of your optimization and promotion efforts.

App Revenue Analytics

The Revenue tool allows you to analyze the earnings of both your app and your competitors' apps.

Revenue Section Features and Data

  • App and Period Selection: Select the app and time frame in the "Apps" section under Revenue. The top-right corner shows revenue summaries for the current and previous three months.
  • Charts and Tables: View your app’s revenue for the last month or week in chart and table formats. The chart breaks down data by country, which you can select in the table.
  • Country Breakdown: This table displays country-specific data, showing revenue for the selected period, the percentage of global revenue, and a mini trend chart.

Important: Revenue data is only available for apps in the Top Grossing category. If the app doesn’t rank in this category, no data will be shown in the Revenue section.

In-App Purchase Analytics

In-app purchases (IAPs) are one of the most popular ways to monetize free apps and mobile games. ASOMobile offers two tools for analyzing in-app purchases: In-App Keywords and In-App Monitor.

In-App Keywords

This tool allows you to quickly analyze the keywords your in-app purchases (or your competitors') are indexed for. It provides accurate data on search query traffic, competition level, and keyword effectiveness.

You can also check the relevance of search queries by quickly accessing the App Store search results. Keep in mind that this tool is available only for App Store apps, and you can only see in-app purchases if they are available in the selected country and search promotion is enabled in App Store Connect.

With In-App Keywords, you can easily monitor the indexing of your in-app purchases.

In-App Monitor

In-App Monitor helps you track changes in the ranking of your in-app purchases by key search terms. This tool allows you to monitor position changes and evaluate search queries based on traffic potential, competition, and effectiveness.

Like In-App Keywords, this tool provides quick access to App Store search results to check query relevance.

In In-App Monitor, you’ll see the search queries you previously added to Keyword Monitor. Since app keywords and in-app purchase keywords tend to overlap by about 90%, the keyword list will generally match the one in Keyword Monitor.

Featuring Analytics

Being featured in the App Store is a powerful and free method of boosting your app’s visibility. Featuring is often a result of successful optimization and a high-quality product. It generates additional, targeted organic traffic for your app.

Tracking whether your app is featured can be time-consuming, as stores have just started sending notifications for featured placements. However, a sudden increase in organic traffic can be an indicator, and you can verify this with mobile analytics tools.

The Featuring tool in the Market section helps you monitor how often your app is featured. Here's what it can do:

  • Select Countries: Choose one or more countries to see where your app was featured.
  • Set Parameters: Specify the date, type of feature, and app category to get precise information.

The results provide useful data on how your app performed in featured lists:

  • Country: Which countries featured your app.
  • Feature Type: Where and in which category your app appeared.
  • Average Position: The average ranking of your app during the featured period.
  • Duration: How many days your app was featured.
  • Period: The dates your app was featured.

ASO Dashboard – App Visibility Analysis

The ASO Dashboard is your go-to tool for a quick and easy assessment of your ASO performance. It helps you evaluate your optimization efforts, compare data with competitors, find the best keywords for promotion, and develop a winning ASO strategy.

With just one click, you can view 10 charts, tables, and diagrams that give you a complete picture of your app's performance over time.

You can easily track changes in your app’s keyword rankings and positions, visualize download trends by keyword, and assess the effectiveness of your keyword strategy.

For more in-depth keyword dynamics analysis, you can use the Keyword Report.

Keyword Report – Keyword Ranking Dynamics

The Keyword Report is a handy tool for tracking and comparing your app's keyword rankings. It shows how your app's indexed keywords have changed over time and the ones you added for monitoring in Keyword Monitor.

It provides data on:

  • Position Increases: Keywords with improved rankings.
  • Position Drops: Keywords with decreased rankings.
  • New Indexing: Keywords where your app has started appearing in search results.
  • Lost Indexing: Keywords where your app has lost its ranking.

Keyword Report allows you to quickly evaluate changes in your app's positions and adjust your promotion strategy to achieve better results.

Next, you can analyze the mobile app market and your competitors.
